I’m so happy to introduce you to Mac, as I invite you to join this disillusioned McIntosh on his journey to self-acceptance, and learning to love himself as himself.

Feeling insecure when no one shopping at the Merry Market seems interested in apples, Mac decides he won’t be a McIntosh anymore! He’ll be a different, more desirable fruit. But each attempt to turn himself into a fruit he envies launches the vulnerable McIntosh into amusing but disappointing outcomes, until Mac feels giving himself up to the pile of bruised fruits is the only option left.

humorously demonstrates the strength of self-esteem and confidence, encouraging children to respect and love themselves for who they are.

I am so excited about the release of my debut picture book!
I enjoy doing the writing, but consider my 3 grown children, 3 young grandchildren, and a world of family and friends to be the inspiration on my team. The illustrator and now my new friend, Jo Renfro, lends the humorous creative talent that distinguishes this children's book from all others.
And my most favorite Frenchie in the universe, Bernie, lends his cuteness as the logo
for the publishing company for my work, Berndog Press.
